I am a complete movie buff..
Being that I spent many of my younger years pursuing an acting career (which seems like a lifetime ago, in reality it was only a few years back) the movies have always been a part of my existence.
Like so may of us, movies and pop culture have an influence on our fashion. Sometimes consciously and often times subconsciously.
So I am going to hit the subconscious button on this one. One of my favorite films of all time is a little known completely underrated film by Italian director Bernardo Bertolucci called The Dreamers. It’s a beautiful, thought provoking, sexually exploratory, passionate film about friends, family, new relationships and the French Student Cinema riots of 1968. It’s pack full if effortless French fashion and after shooting this look I could think of nothing but that film. Which I will most likely re-watch tonight.
I love when Fashion and Cinema collide in my closet. Are there any films that consciously or subconsciously guide the way you see and wear fashion?
