I want to start this post by sharing the 5 things I love about New York..
1. The people
2. The fashion
3. The individuality
4. The get up and go
5. The actual charm of the city

….And all these things are in no particular order…Allow me to explain..
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, Ca.. so basically I’ve lived in a car my whole life.  Which please don’t get me wrong… I love my car.   I love hopping in my car and running quick errands.   I adore getting in my car after a long day and taking a ride in silence.  But the idea that one must get up, get out and walk the streets of the city in order to encounter life is (not matter how unappealing it may sound to some) one of the best things that can happen to a person.

…And New York City makes you do just that!

I was in NYC the week before last for a couple of reasons and one of them required me to walk the city for days capturing it.  The streets, the signs, the distinct character, the bustling life that happens on a minute to minute basis.   When you are  required to explore it actually changes your perspective on so much.  It also shapes your fashion..

This trip,  as I was walking I was not waking with the intent of getting somewhere..   I was walking with the intent of actually seeing the city.. and in that exploration I really noticed something about the real fashion of New York City.    While we may think of NYC as super structured in fashion, I noticed a trend.. at least among the gals.

Beautiful, uber natural faces, easy wardrobe pieces that were full of design yet so wonderfully simple and ultra short stacked heels or flats.   I don’t think there is another city in the world that shows us ladies how to style a flat and still remain uber chic better than the Big Apple.   So I took my que..

This look..  Let’s call it  “Exploration Chic.”

The simple white cotton tank, the easy yet structured skirt with a pop of detail topped off with uber chic short stacked heels that I could (and did) walk the city in all day.

What’s your favorite fashion city?

 Exploration Chic..

  2. First off, I love those shoes! I love NY as well, it's one of those cities that has so much to offer and explore- I love nothing more than just spending hours walking around the city and adventuring.
