There is something about a 70’s vibe that brightens any day. The decade that phrases like far out, foxy, groovy and right on where in regular rotation out of the mouths of cool kids everywhere. Disco was cool, peace & platforms were still in and best of all, Hip Hugger bell bottoms were born.

Now don’t get me wrong.. I love a good high waist.. but the 1970’s hip hugger flair has to be one of the sexiest looks to come out of fashion. Yet when dressing retro there are a couple rules to stuck to as to prevent the general public from thinking that you just stepped of of a time machine. Quick and easy here they are..

1. Pair your vintage or vintage inspired piece with a chic modern items. You can see I did this here with a great sleek yet boxy blazer and simple top.

2. Add a simple shoe.. you can’t see them here.. but I am wearing a velvet black Prada wedge.

Good old casual chic paired with good old vintage inspired works wonders every time.
