My life is beautifully crazy. With events, photo shoots both in front of
an behind the camera, castings, and constant blog posts life seems
blissfully nonstop. So when I get a chance to hang with my girls I
Last week I hosted an amazing intimate blogger dinner for the new menu at La Poubelle… and before dinner my gals Nikia Phoenix, Ashley Tianah and I thought it would be awesome to get super glammed up. Seriously.. what’s a night at a authentic Parisian Bistro without some glam- Right?!
So before we headed to dinner, we stopped at Blushington Makeup and Beauty Lounge to get our glam on. I love doing my own makeup for fun nights out, but when I have someone else do it for me, it’s always fun to experiment with a little something new.
I had my dress all picked out. A retro inspired, green print A-line dress (which shall live on it’s own blog post soon), which made the makeup options endless. I was looking for a modern take on Brigitte Bardot ala 1960’s bombshell and after talking it over with my awesome make up gal Jessica Scantlin (who also happens to be the head Blushington make up artist), we came up with this look:
Dewy contoured face
Dramatic winged liner
Ding Ding Ding….Mission accomplished..And I loved it!
Awesome job, Blushington- I was feeling uber glamorous all night.
