I would not be right to not kick off awards season with out a proper Stuff She Likes best of the Golden Globes 2014. The Globes are officially the start of awards season. This is the time when all the hard work and dedication of the “best” of Hollywood for the last year is recognized via awards shows, luncheons, press conferences, more luncheons and more awards shows. It’s also nearly three months of fashion porn where we get to drool, love and often times hate what some of our favorite actors and actresses decide to adorn their bodies with.
Originally I only had a top four.. but
upon further investigation, that top four became a top 8.. and upon further further investigation my top 4 of those top 8 became the second half of the top. You following me.. because I am actually loosing myself a little here..
Lets just move on..
and lets just say in no particular order.. that way feelings are not hurt.. and no cat fights will ensue..
Lena Dunham in Zac Pozen looked radiant. Beautiful color, her bod looks amazing and I am digging the hair! Plus it helps for me that the girl is a creative genius. Oh yeah creative genius is a definite factor in my voting process.
Rashida Jones in Fausto Puglis: I do believe that this is the best I have ever seen Rashida look. Her face looks beautiful. I adore the top knot and bangs and there is something so wrong but so darn right about sporting embellished palm trees on you Globes Gown.
Allison Williams on Alexander McQueen: Now this girl is generally not one of my faves.. But I absolutely lust after this unexpected Alexander McQueen number. It fits her like a glove and there is something about the off the shoulder not off the shoulder that is super sexy. And I love the hair!
Amy Adams in Valentino channeling the good parts if her character from American Hustle. I think I mat be the only person on earth who did not fall in love that film. I have to say at first I was not into this dress.. But when she went up to accept her award.. my goodness it changed my mind. The plunging neckline and the maroon on red combo looked incredible on that stage. She was also wearing Lorraine Schwartz diamond pendant, yellow gold rose cut diamond ring, yellow gold white diamond pave ruby ring, yellow gold ruby ring, and yellow gold asscher cut diamond earrings. If you are going to go retro.. this is your cue.
Lupita Nyong in Ralph Lauren. This woman is a stunner from head to toe. He hair her face and her beautiful chocolate skin! She exudes classic and perfect! I do wish that there was somehow a pop of one other color somewhere in this look. Maybe a lipstick that was a tad brighter. She also wore Fred Leighton yellow gold diamond studs, vintage yellow gold and diamond cocktail rings, and a vintage yellow gold and diamond pinky ring with a solid rose gold clutch from Monica Rich Kosann. This woman is perfection!
Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive. The other Cate The Great.. Seriously Cate Blanchett NEVER goes wrong. Like NEVER. If you got the chance to see the back of this dress.. she is absolute beauty and perfection. I cannot wait to see what she wears throughout this awards season!
Olivia Wilde in Gucci. This girl in this dress makes you want to go out .. get preggers.. wait six months so you are showing..make a hit movie and walk a red carpet just so you can look this stunning. SEXY SEXY SEXY!
Kelly Osbourne in Escada. When I first saw this I did a double take. This is not the first time Ms. Osbourne has ended up in my best lists. But this one takes the prize. She was virtually unrecognizable. Along with this dress she sported H. Stern yellow gold earrings and H. Stern yellow gold rings. Love the hair, the makeup, the dress and damn if she has not been hitting the gym hard. She even looks taller.
SO there you have it.. My top eight and why in no particular order.
I absolutely LOVE IT!
