Sometimes nostalgia can spark a flame…and that flame burns inspiration..and that inspiration leads to an outfit for a dinner meeting…. Okay I know you thought this was going in some deep spiritually gratifying direction.. but really it’s just a dinner outfit.. sparked by a little Guess nostalgia.
Oh the Nostalgia..
This beautiful Guess top arrived and I was itching to do it justice..which in actuality it’s one of those finds that does itself justice.. Really no Taye needed..
I’ve always adored the combination of blue and black.. an always and ever chic duo weather it’s a dress, a jumper or a beautiful gown. If you ever find your self standing at your closet with only minutes to spare.. whip out a combo of blue and black and bam…instant chic for any occasion.
Both the blazer and the shoes in this post are the poster children for why buying classic pieces makes for wardrobe winners. This Stella McCartney Blazer bought on sale at least 4 years ago still pops every thing I wear it with.. It’s timeless.
And the Sergio Rossi pumps older than the blazer.. again.. Timeless and classic..
This Nasty Gal bag is the poster child for “you don’t have to spend rent to carry a great bag”. An awesome bag doesn’t necessarily always have to have an enormous price tag attached to a huge designer label to be stellar.. I’m pretty sure I got this one for about 40 bucks.
And the Bleulabs..2 for one.. Reversible and Priceless!
So the moral of this story folks…
Buy High and Low… Grab the high on sale..Stay as classic as possible.. and wear pieces that bring about a bit of personal nostalgia. GOT IT? GOOD!
Now get out there and have a great weekend!
Nostalgia.. I “Like”
