There’s something special about the simplicity of not wearing too much. We all love to
pile on accessories..and layers…and patterns….and coats on top of sweaters on top of tops all in the name of fashion. You get the idea..
But sometimes its nice to wear one item.. the way it was meant to be worn.. with nothing much on it. To me the idea of this..and the idea of doing it right is just as fashion forward as whatever the latest trend maybe..
For me this simplicity usually comes in the form of a jumper (for my British readers I don’t mean a sweater). I like to wear jumpers just as they come. By themselves. No belt to cinch my waist. No goo gobs of long or short statement necklaces.. and no arms full of chunky bracelets. Just me, a small accessory or two and my jumper. It’s simple. It’s easy and its a no brainier when you need a go to look.
With this I thought it would be fun to match my lips to my bag. Something I have never really done.. but why not. The contrast of the red and the deep purple gave this outfit a fall touch. Although I will say when we shot this it was about 80 degrees out.
Throw in my oh so favorite vintage Chanel that I snagged from Grandma years ago and my velvet Pradas that I have been dying to wear since June and Voila!
And might I say this is such a good jumper.. for under $100 bucks I could not pass it up.. also been dying to wear this one for a while..
