An Afternoon with Neiman Marcus..

I am super excited about finally getting to this post…and I know I say that all the time..but…

Let’s dive into pre Stuff She Likes history for a moment..

Most Friday’s I spend a good portion of my day with
my grandma and we spend a portion of that portion having lunch at Nieman Marcus.   So when I got an email from the folks at Neimans to come in and test out the menu, I was over the moon.  

It was a three part day..

My first stop was The Mariposa Restaurant. Located on the bottom floor of Neimans Beverly Hills.  This is the place to eat when you want awesome food,  great service and a mean plate of Truffle Parmesan Fries (not pictured).  I myself am all gity over the Popovers. Now I was born and raised in L.A. and have been eating in restaurants at least twice a week since I was a kid and to this day I have never seen a popover served anywhere else.

Anyhow back to the Mariposa.  Chef Tzu Chiang and the Neiman Marcus staff put together an amazing tasting menu for my visit with two dishes I know and adore and two dishes I now know and adore…

With dishes like Grilled Lemon Shrimp Salad and Classic Neiman Marcus Chicken salad (which has been on the menu since Neiman’s first opened in Dallas in 1950).  To favorites like Truffle Parmesan French Fries and  Fillet Mignon there is something for everyone on the menu. 

My second stop on this 3 part journey was CUSP..  A super cute new division of Neiman’s located in third floor contemporary. It’s cool, it’s trendy and it is styled and curated as if it was a small boutique complete with a wall of denim and racks of your favorite designers like Current and Elliot, Sinclair, Vince  Alice + Olivia, Helmut Lang, DVF, Rag & Bone, A. L. C., Theory, Alexander Wang, and Phillip Lim.  It’s a shop in shop concept that I adore!

My last stop was the forth floor for a little R and R at the  
Bar on 4.  With an extensive drink menu,  a gourmet cafe style menu and some really awesome chocolate chip cookies.. It’s the perfect place to end a shopping session, wind down with a Key Lime martini,  have a  bowl of  Signature Turkey Chili and finish it all off with that giant chocolate chip cookie!

I will leave you with this..  I’ve been frequenting Neiman’s since I was little.  I’ve watched it change and grow from an awesome place to shop to an awesome place to spend the day, shop and eat.. Contemporary, fun, great service and food that hits the spot every time..
