What can I say about the Little Next Door that I have not already mentioned in about a bazillion tweets. Okay maybe a bazillion is a bit exaggerated.. But if you follow me on twitter you know that I adore and am a regular at this little delectable French Cafe on 3rd street.
So what can I say that I have not already said? How can I possibly sing more praises for the food ..the drinks..the lattes and the really good mint iced tea?
Here’s how.. Just when I thought it could not get any better…they hit me with Thanksgiving Pies. I want to personally thanks Pastry Chef Romain Drocourt as I was just beginning to come down off my sugar addiction. Oh well!
I’m just going to give it to you straight…
Pumpkin Pie with a praline custard and a spiced crust, topped with cinnamon flavored marshmallows.
Pecan Pie caramelized and topped with mascarpone cream with a hint of lemon and earl grey sauce.
and starting in December..
Holiday Macaroons. Chocolate Mint, Egg nog and Ginger Bread.
Okay here’s what I adore about these deserts.. Fresh organic ingredients..Tradition with hints of non traditional flavors..and although they are desserts..you will not be left with a pending cavity.. or a sugar hangover.
Now you can dine in and have a nice piece of each with a delicious latte or tea.. or a glass of wine (drinks not included). Or you can buy a whole pie. Makes for an awesome dinner gift. I know you are not blind..but see whole pies pictured below.
Bring one of these to a dinner party and you will be liked!!
and if dessert is not enough.. They are also offering a Turkey Shaped french baguette(yes it edible). This thing is an awesome work of art..
So there you have it. The pies are only available through November…so call up and place and order or walk in a grab one.
