Three guys that went to school together ..had a passion for food and made it happen..Gotta love it when a plan comes together.
Hello Mezze…
My love affair started with Mezza about two months ago. I was at the B.O.A. Gallery opening on Melrose when somewhere between my temporary tattoo, my glass of white wine and my hand full of cheese I was invited to eat at a brand new restaurant on La Cienega called Mezze. So I gathered three friends and headed over.
At first bite I knew that at some point a blog post would have to follow.
If you go to Mezze’s website..the description reads.. “Contemporary Mediterranean Cuisine”…I call it perfection..
…and since I have been back a couple times I’ve tried several items on the perfectly sized menu. Just enough choices to keep you satisfied but not overwhelm you..Not to much ..not to little..
Now I know the photo’s above pretty much say it all..I am getting hungry looking at them now..but allow me to run down a list of the super tasty dishes I’ve had..
•A little garden behind the restaurant..from which the chef pulls many of the ingredients that end up on your plate.. Super cool..
•Full bar complete with a cocktail menu, Middle Eastern wines and coffee and for those of you that don’t drink, non alcoholic yumminess.
•Friday and Saturday late night menu that starts at 11pm and goes until 1am …and it’s a pretty great late night menu..with everything from flat breads to desserts.
Mezze is open 6 days a week for dinner and Tuesdays-Fridays for lunch.. and if you are at all into bar codes.. bring your App..cause pretty soon there will be one on every menu with a little surprise..
