Ahh.. My favorite day of the week is here… FASHION FRIDAY!! Yay!!
Quick rundown of my outfit..
Trousers:
I just love these H&M pants. Although, stand in the wrong way and they are not always that flattering. Thus I am super conscious of my posture when I wear them. I’ve only had them for a week and I have already worn them twice!! I would say well worth the $34 dollars.
Pumps:
I have had my eye on these Stella’s for about 5 months..and they finally went on super sale!! The only pair left in my size. Whoo hoo score! The Stella Boutique on Beverly Blvd had a few pairs left one in just about every size. So I say go sang them if you are in the area. They are super sexy and well worth it.
Jewels:
This necklace is actually a chain belt from the 90’s. When I was young my mom, (who you all know from the first ever Stuff She Likes blog post) … would always take a item of clothing or jewelry and make it in to something it was not.. Example: skirt into a top, earrings into a charm necklace, the list goes on.. So naturally I have always done the same.
Gladiator Cuff..Well as you guys read last week.. I lust after Nicole Richie’s House of Harlow.. which is on
Gilt Groupe right now…Click
here to join. Just in case you want to experience the joy it brings:) Okay that was a little dramatic I know. and the red version of this cuff is only $19.25 at Kitson.com click

I apologize that there is not a great photo of this unisex Steampunk Cross ring.. but trust me it’s awesome and I will soon do a Steampunk post all on it’s own!! For now the link is above.
Bodysuit:
American Apparel..Nuff said!
Blazer:
I have had this Theory Blazer for about 8 years..I wear it ALL THE TIME.. They make a version of it every season. Great staple. You can get this years version on sale for sure right now. Awesome Charcoal one 60% off at Nordstrom’s Click
here
or Awesome Brown version
here
Pocketbook:
I’ve also had this clutch for about 7 years.. Both it and the Theory blazer are a testament that buying smart and not to trendy can have lasting effects in your closet.
Sunglasses:
Okay so I bought these about 6 months ago. Funny story.. I had lunch with a friend downtown at Bottega Louie. A few weeks before that I saw the Grey Ant version of these ($198) which were not at all in my budget and just knew if I searched I could find them in the alley. So my poor friend had to go on a search with me. After combing the alley and finding nothing he suggested a little stand around the corner and lo and behold there they were. $5 bucks..I am still hitting myself for not buying the red, white and tortoise shell one’s too. Ugg..Any of you who have ever been downtown to the fashion district know that I will never find that stand again. Ugg!
Watch:
This time teller is my favorite watch. It belonged to my father (who was killed by a drunk driver when I was 3 years old, he was 24 years old) It makes me feel close to him.. And funny thing is his name was Leroy and this watch is a company called Le Roy. I don’t know if they even exist anymore.. And for those who have wondered..the tattoo on my foot also says Leroy.
With all that said….
This outfit makes me happy ..for me it’s just the right amount of crazy, conservative, refined and sexy. Four valuable assets to any ensemble.
Crazy.. Conservative.. Refined.. Sexy…. I “Like”
Taye 😉
