Mac and Cheeza…

This little comfort food late night extravaganza is perched in the heart of downtown L.A.  Now…when I was first told about this place I thought to my lactose intolerant self..”don’t even think about it!”…and then of course I hailed the first taxi there (oh wait that’s the New York version…sorry I’m so excited about Sex and the City 2 opening this week I forgot where I was)..anyhow..back to Downtown LA.

…So after hopping in my car and traveling the 101 freeway … I parked ..pranced across the street and entered this cute little store front.

Let’s start by understanding the idea.  Mac and cheese is the menu..the only thing on the menu!

You pick your noodle (Regular or Rice).

You pick your cheese (Regular or Soy).

You pick your Veggie (everything from Collard Greens to Jalapenos).

You pick your meat (everything from Ground Beef to Veggie Sausage).

Then they pack it all into an adorable little tin pan and top it off with more cheese and spicy toasted walnuts and bake it!  MY GOD!  Need I say more…?

Open Sunday -Thursday 11am-11pm and Friday-Saturday 11am-2am

Oh and did I say mac and cheese was the only thing on the menu?  opps…I lied 🙂  The also have sweets.  Red velvet cake to my personal childhood favorite Lemonheads!  …And if you are in the mood to top all that wonderfulness off with a little carbonation..they have Cucumber Soda!  Umm.. if that doesn’t make you grab the closest person next to you and  B-line it straight to downtown LA..I don’t know what will!!
