How to add “Chic” to your Festival style

Festival season comes and goes and the hoards of gals and guys covered in neon, glitter, bejeweled and laced is in no shortage. Believe me for the last 5 or so years I have been amongst them the crowd right here with them. Glittered, bejeweled and bedazzled. Sometimes all a the same time.

But something about this year was very different for me.. I decided that I want to be able to wear my festival duds after festival season. I mean who doesn’t want to re-wear perfectly amazing items after they have served their initial purpose?

So rather than “Coachella.. I decided to “Chic” Chella. with a little twist of course.

I believe there are a few festivals still ahead, including Coachella weekend two… And for the next four posts I am going to give you four looks that you can take from festival to real life with ease.

This first one I am calling “SuitChella”.

This new mid length of shorts, Bermuda shorts to be exact are one if many in my closet this season and I decided to take this ASOS Bermuda short suit all the way to Coachella.

Here is where I “coachelled” it..

I decided to make it a bit more playful paired with a knit swim suit top, lace up booties, a Chanel Fanny Pack worn as a cross body and a chic printed hat. This took the stiff out of the suit and gave it a little festival vibe.

So what do you do with this when the season is over?

Great question! When festival season is over, pair this suit with a wibutton up blouse, swing that fanny pack over your shoulder or switch it out for a classic square bag and beautiful pumps for a serious ode to Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.
